The Invention Connection!

For Grades 4 to 8

Have you ever looked at a product and wondered who invented it? Did you ever wonder how inventors get their ideas? Have you ever had a great idea and wondered if you could be an inventor?

These are some of the questions you could use to introduce The Invention Connection project to your class. Over the next few weeks your students will research and discover the stories behind famous inventions and inventors and how these inventions impacted society. They will develop an appreciation for inventors and the invention process that will help them as they work cooperatively to develop their own invention ideas.

The Invention Connection! engages students by appealing to their natural creativity and curiosity. It uses technology to employ a variety of different intelligences and allows students to demonstrate understanding in multiple formats.
