The Great Outdoor Adventure Club

For Grades 3 to 6

Have you ever wanted to go camping? Would you know where to camp, what to take, or what to do when you got there?

The Great Outdoor Adventure Club provides students with multiple opportunities to develop problem solving strategies and mathematical concepts in the context of a simulation. For the next few weeks, your students will become engaged in solving real world math problems as they establish an adventure club.

Students will use technology to explore "the great outdoors" and "visit" a National Park. As they learn about camping, wildlife, birds and bird watching, they will also address performance standards in mathematics, applied learning, language arts, and science. They will build research and communication skills as they set up their club and prepare for this unique camping experience.
